2.China's crude steel production in July decreased by 4% year-on-year

In July 2025, China's crude steel production was 79.66 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.0%; The production of pig iron was 70.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.4%; The steel production reached 122.95 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. From January to July, China's crude steel production was 594.47 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%; The production of pig iron was 505.83 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%; The steel production reached 860.47 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.

Interpretation: Compared with the crude steel production of 613.724 million tons from January to July in 2024, this year's crude steel production has decreased by nearly 20 million tons. In addition, due to the fact that some blast furnace enterprises have not completed ultra-low emission transformation, they may face production stoppage in late August. 4.On the 18th, the prices of some steel products of Shougang were adjusted as follows based on the "Shougang Steel Product Sales Price Policy for August 2025":

2. The base price of pickled plate coil has been raised by 300 yuan/ton.
3. The base price of cold-rolled coil has been raised by 300 yuan/ton.
4. The base price of hot-dip galvanized sheet has been raised by 300 yuan/ton.
5. The base price of aluminum zinc and high aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium sheet coils has been increased by 200 yuan/ton.
6. The base price of Color Coated board has beenraised by 200 yuan/ton.
7. The base price of Chinalco zinc aluminum magnesium products has been raised by 300 yuan/ton.
